Know that fishing in Bermuda does not always require going out into the deep. There are many fishing spots that are popular to local fishermen on the docks in Mangrove Bay, Somerset Bridge, and the Royal Naval Dockyard, where it is possible to throw your line over and catch a variety of medium size fish.
Lobsters may only be taken by licensed residents of Bermuda.
Spear guns are not allowed, only pole spears.
Spear fishing within one mile of the shore line is illegal.
No more than two fish of any one species can be caught by a spear fisher within any 24-hour period.
